We are delighted to welcome Panagiota Dedousi to the Tringides Lab! Panagiota is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Materials Science and NanoEngineering department at Rice University. Originally from Athens, Greece, she earned her undergraduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, followed by a M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering and Medical Physics from the Technical University of Munich.
Her research interests lie in developing advanced biomedical interfaces to study and modulate neural activity. She is motivated by the goal of designing multifunctional neural interfaces that integrate material design, device engineering, and neurobiology to advance next-generation bioelectronic platforms with therapeutic potential for neurological disorders.
Outside of the lab, Panagiota enjoys beach volleyball, ballroom and Latin dance, trying new sports, and solving puzzles. We are thrilled to have her join our team and look forward to her many contributions to the group!
